Each quilt that Sandi McMillan, from Albion, Nebraska, has made involves a challenge to be solved, something she has never done before. She says, "The inspiration for a quilt can be anything that strikes my fancy." She takes many classes around the country with the goal of learning enough to make anything she wants. Although she has won many blue ribbons, she does not make quilts with competition in mind. Nearly all her quilts are made and quilted on the machine, except for applique, which is handwork she can carry with her. Come marvel at the results.
