CUTTING THE FABRIC
- Natural ... Village sign
- Narrow tan stripe ... cut 4 strips 1" x 10" for outer edge of sign
- Miscellaneous greens, reds/rust, and gold ... bushes (use template diagrams from Spring's Splendor pattern)

TRACING PART FIVE ONTO OVERLAY
Using assembled drawing from Part Five of Spring's Splendor's pattern and a BLACK permanent marker, trace the sign onto the overlay.

ASSEMBLING BUSHES, PUMPKINS, AND THE SCARECROW
Planning: Have fun "planting" bushes and decorating the Village with pumpkins and a scarecrow. Betty included some "pumpkin buttons" on our quilt for a three dimensional look. Be creative when working with the placement of the bushes, pumpkins, and the scarecrow. Use pictures of houses and the sign as a "suggested" placement guide.
