DRAFTING TEMPLATES Each Section of the Village Sampler quilt is presented as a small grid drawing. Grid squares represent one inch. To make template diagrams, enlarge the design by drawing the actual size grid onto graph paper. Using Diagram 1 as a guide, draw The Benton's House section. (It's okay if the design is not exactly the same as shown in Diagram 1; template accuracy will be based on your drawing. However, keep the overall size of each section the same as indicated in the directions.) After drawing the section to size, number the pieces using Diagram 2 as a guide.
