The fifth part of the Village Sampler Quilt involves appliquéing
the moon, stars, and sidewalk in place, and finishing up.
PART FIVE ... ASSEMBLING THE TEMPLATE DIAGRAMS DRAWING
Step 1. The Template Diagrams Drawing
can be found on the next two pages (click on "next" below pattern).
Using a copy machine, print out pages and enlarge them to size noted on
drawings.
Step 2. Using right side solid and broken line as a guide, cut
off right side paper margin on Page 1 (Diagram 1).
Step 3. Referring to Diagram 2, align the two pages and tape together.

Stars and Moon
Miscellaneous Scraps... Three of piece number 1, four of piece number
2, two of piece number 3, and one of piece number 4
Sidewalk

ASSEMBLY
Step 1. Refer to Part
Four, Assembling Bushes, Steps 1 and 2, for instructions on preparing
stars, moon, and sidewalk pieces for appliquéing to quilt top.
Step 2. After pieces have been prepared, place them on the assembled
quilt top, using quilt drawing as a placement guide (see Diagram 3). Using
pressing cloth, press piece to secure it in place. Appliqué turned-under
edges to quilt top.
