MAKING AN OVERLAY PLACEMENT GUIDE
Using a flat surface, lay clear vinyl (or
eight pieces of tracing paper taped together) on top of
assembled drawing. Trace pattern piece lines onto the
vinyl (or paper), using a "black" permanent
pen. Be sure to trace the four "pattern placement
key" boxes and the perimeter lines around the
drawing. The tracing will serve as an "overlay
placement guide" as you work with the pattern
pieces.
