ASSEMBLING THE PATTERN DRAWING
The pattern drawing for Part Two consists of eight pages. Print out drawing. Refer to
Part One for detailed instructions on assembling drawing.

TRACING PART TWO ONTO OVERLAY
After assembling Part Two's drawing, place overlay, used for tracing Part One, on top of drawing. Align lines and "pattern placement key boxes." Trace trees and first two houses on overlay, using a RED permanent marker.

Part 2 - Overlay Diagram

ASSEMBLING TREES
Step 1.) Trace solid and broken lines of piece #12 (tree) from drawing, using fine line permanent pen, onto smooth side of fusible interfacing (rough side is the fusible side). Cut out interfacing section of tree approximately 1/2" from lines. Place interfacing drawing on dark green #1 fabric with fusible side against the right side of fabric. The smooth side (with traced pattern) of interfacing is on top. Pin in center of pattern piece. Do not press with iron.

Step 2.) Using an open toe sewing machine foot, and a short stitch length, sew slightly to the outside of interfacing drawn "solid" line. (If sewn directly on the line, the finished piece will be smaller than required. Sewing slightly to the outside of the drawn line allows room for turning the fabric right side out.) Trim each piece to scant 1/4" beyond sewn line. (Diagram 1) Clip curves and turn to right side, leaving open end flat. Gently push out curves from inside. (Use a toothpick to help you smooth seam edges and square up corners.) Finger press fabric seam edges. (Diagram 2) Do not press with iron.
