I'm excited! After an awful lot of flip-flopping,
I've decided to attend the International Quilt
Festival in Chicago. There are plenty of reasons
why I should skip it this year--there always are--
but some of those reasons are exactly why I simply
must go. What better way to recharge my creative
quilting batteries then to surround myself with
quilts?
Even though the show is a several day event, I'll
be making a quick one-day trip. How much quilting
can you cram into a day? I'll find out. I'm already
tingling at the thought of seeing all the exquisite
quilts in the exhibits, visiting vendor booths,
and just being in the company of all those fellow
quilters.
If you happen to be at the show and see some
silly fool frolicking in the fabric or rolling in
the beads and other embellishments, don't worry.
It's just me, soaking up some quilting creativity.
